Welcome to The Halifax Golf Club The course is OPEN The 1st & 17th greens were measured for speed at 6:00 this morning & averaged out at 9’-3" The greens were cut with pedestrian mowers on Friday & the Triplex this morning. Using pedestrian mowers allows us to engage 'groomers' with the plant which stands the leaf up & allows for a more uniform cut. This should provide a truer roll with less 'Bobble & Weave' on putts Met Office forecast is for a greater than 80% chance of rain from 15:00 today. The weather is currently overcast but dry with a slight breeze, maximum gusts to 24mph. A high temperature of 15°c is expected mid-afternoon. ‘GUR Play Prohibited’ areas on the 9th & 13th fairways where drainage works are recovering. Other areas of restricted play are marked with white GUR paint, please take relief as required. Please replace divots & repair pitchmarks. New buggies are here & available to hire from the Pro Shop.
