The Halifax Golf Club
Welcome
Our famous 17th
The course is open. Green speeds were measured at 7:00 this morning on the 1st & 17th they averaged 7'-5" The greens are very wet and soft following two solid days of rain. We have been unable to get a mower on to cut as we would normally do. The top dressing we applied last week has washed in on the greens that I inspected this morning. Please repair any pitchmarks, you will find them with the greens being so soft. Thank you so much for your continued help with this. The Met Office is predicting a clear and sunny day with less than 30% chance of rain and that is only for an hour at 15:00. It is currently fine with blue skies. Temperature a high of 12°c with winds 19 - 41mph. Blue stakes on the 3rd fairway denoting ongoing drainage works. Please take free relief of one club length no nearer the hole should your ball enter this penalty area. Please follow instructions for the use of buggies. Take care walking as the course is very slippy.
